Job Related Education for Support Staff
The Education Fund for Support Staff was established for the purpose of ‘promoting educational development of the district CUPE staff’. Any member presently employed in a full-time, part-time or temporary position can apply for reimbursement of fees paid for job-related conferences, courses or workshops to a maximum of $300 per year with a limit of five courses.
**Casual employees may also apply for reimbursement but their applications will be placed ‘on hold’ for consideration at the May meeting if there are funds remaining in the budget.
The committee meets once a month to review course reimbursement applications, the meeting dates for this school year are:
September 22/11, October 20/11, November 24/11, January 19/12, February 23/12, March 29/12, April 26/12, May 24/12, June 21/12.
Any funds not spent by the end of the school year are NOT carried over… they are returned to the BSB General Budget.
